The Bull Hotel

Bull Ln, Wrotham, Sevenoaks TN15 7RF, UK – 01732 789800

My husband and myself hired the Bull to hold a reception for the renewal of our wedding vows. We decided to do this as we are both being treated for cancer, so not only was it a celebration of 35 years together, but was also a chance to get all our friends and family together to thank them for their support. Elaine and Leanne both worked hard along with their team to make sure we had the best day ever. Nothing was too much trouble. They had made the Buttery look amazing, the buffet was excellent with more than enough food for everyone. Thank you so much for making our time with you so special. We would highly recommend this venue for a small wedding or celebration.

We stayed at the Bull because we were attending a cheese, wine and salami tasting evening. Martin is a connoisseur of fine wine and good food. The evening was intimate, with only ten people attending, but the conversation was lively as the food and wine samples were distributed. It was a great evening and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to sample different wines with different foods. We will certainly be going to the next one. Keep up the good work, Martin.

Hilltop Hotel & Restaurant

Labour-In-Vain Rd, Stansted TN15 7NY, UK – 01732 822696

Wedding reception.. absolutely amazing, staff so friendly and fun. (Even the waitress was dancing with my daughter). Food was excellent, wine exquisite and the bedroom was so comfortable. Would really recommend.

Been 4 times now and will book again as it's a great place. Food is excellent and portion size superb! Service exceptional and ambience excellent Starts with the first class flowers on entry and continues throughout you food. Rare find.

Ightham Bed and Breakfast at Hope Farm

Hope Farm Ightham Common, Ightham, Sevenoaks TN15 9BA, UK – 01732 884359

This is a bit more than the normal B&B as it is situated in a detached barn adjacent to the owners house. Bedrooms and bathrooms downstairs very clean and comfortable. Upstairs a kitchen an lounge area with sky TV, free Wifi and a few things to keep your kids entertained. Very quiet with a large garden, breakfast includes eggs from the chickens that live there. The nearby Harrow pub is a great little restaurant, which seems to be very popular and is only a 5 minute walk. (Looks a lot further on the map!) We enjoyed this stay far more than some hotel visits we have had in the past. Very highly recommended.

At Ightham b&b we have experienced a tranquil oasis, comfortable and cozy. The children loved the top floor access to a private woodland garden, the breakfasts are scrumptious, and the owners are charming.

Wonderful pub with the friendliest staff... made to feel like a regular, even though it was my first visit. Huge servings of roasts for Sunday lunch along with a well - kept pint... very good indeed. Will definitely visit again when I'm next in the area

Spent many a happy hour in Bucks Head. Have been living away from area for 5 years, walked back in and was recognized & welcomed! Excellent food. Very comfortable. Nice garden. Highly recommended.

Travel Super Market search and compare prices for hotels all over the world. Could also be useful for you. I This said I was told by a hotelier that the way to get cheap rooms is to ring up the week before and ask for the weekend rate. You can usually get an absolute bargain as they will trying to book all the rooms that they have not sold! Could be worth a try!

If you would like something truly different you might like to have a look at Airbnb. These are mostly B and Bs provided by people on a very informal basis. The may have a spare room, a yurt, a cottage or a barge with space they can receive guests for a night or a month! The website is highly professional. You can really see what you are going to get. Very well worth a look. Airbnb also show 'conventional' B&Bs as well. Enjoy!

Oldbury Hill Camping and Caravanning Club Site

Styants Bottom Rd, Sevenoaks TN15 0ET, UK – 01732 762728

Nice, quiet, small camping. All necessary facilities - toilets, showers, light at night. A small shop at the reception. Easy to find, close to London, but rural enough to feel away from the city. Very polite and ready to help staff.

Spent a couple of nights here . The site is on a slope so anyone camping would be better off at the bottom on more level ground. The site is very tidy and clean. My only problem was the 1 shower in the ladies and 1 in the gents for a site that can take 65 units this really is not good enough the whole toilet block although kept clean needs updating.
